Detectives identify suspect believed to be responsible for majority of armed robberies since 2/7/14

Spokane Police Major Crimes detectives continue their investigation into a series of Armed Robberies that have occurred in Spokane since February 17. Major Crimes detectives have developed Probable Cause for 1st Degree Robbery for Stephen C. Corkery in connection to two Armed Robberies that occurred on March 25, 2014, at Baskin Robbins (1925 N. Monroe) and Sunny Buns Tanning Salon (2821 E. 27th).

Detectives believe Corkery is responsible for the majority of the Armed Robberies occurring in Spokane since February 17, 2014. Additional information on the specific Armed Robbery incidents for which Corkery is believed to be responsible will be forthcoming as the investigation progresses.

Detectives continue to search for any additional suspects/accomplices in connection to the robberies.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for anyone providing information leading to an arrest in these incidents. Persons with information should call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1.800.222.TIPS, or should forward the tip via their website. Tipsters do not have to give their name to collect the cash reward. Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest is a civilian organization that promotes public safety by paying cash rewards for information that solves crimes. It is not affiliated with law enforcement.
