Spokane Police Major Crime's detectives are investigating two armed robberies that occurred yesterday, Monday, 05/19/2014. Detectives are working to determine if the two incidents are related.
The first of the two robberies occurred just after 10 a.m. on Monday at the Subway in the 3500 block of E. Sprague. The male suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the cashier. He left westbound on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. This suspect was described as a dark complected white or Hispanic male, approximately 5'7", 20-30 years of age, medium build, wearing dark clothing, a light grey hooded sweatshirt, and dark shoes.
The second robbery occurred just after 8 p.m. at the Taco Time in the 300 block of W. Third Ave. The male suspect displayed a handgun, demanded money, and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. This suspect was described as a white male, approximately 5'5"-5'7", wearing a hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and dark colored shoes.
No one was injured in either of the incidents. Detectives are investigating the two incidents to determine their relationship, if any.
