This evening, a male body was located in the Spokane River near the TJ Meenach Bridge; The Spokane County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy and release the identity of the body and the official cause of death.
Tonight, 5/30/14, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Spokane Police received a report of a male body located in the Spokane River near the TJ Meenach Bridge.
Spokane Police and Spokane Fire responded to the scene. Additionally, detectives responded to the scene to investigate.
The body appears to have been in the water for at least several days and was retrieved from the Spokane River by emergency personnel.
The Spokane County Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the identity of the individual as well as the official cause of death.
