Two suspects were arrested for a Robbery late last night after an alert SPD officer stopped a suspicious vehicle and recognized the individuals in the vehicle matched the descriptions of the Robbery suspects. Gregory A. Binkley (46) and Richard L. Baird (37) were arrested and each charged with one count of 1st Degree Robbery.

Last night, 7/10/14, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Spokane Police received a report of a Robbery at Rosa’s Pizza, located in the 3400 block of N. Division. The caller reported that two males had entered the restaurant, displayed guns, demanded cash, and had fled the location. Officers were on-scene within one minute of the call, however the suspects were not located. A good description of both suspects was provided by a witness and this information was relayed to police radio and other officers.

Less than two hours after the initial Robbery incident, another Spokane Police officer contacted a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of Cataldo and Division. The officer recognized that individuals inside the vehicle matched the description of the suspects in the Rosa’s Pizza Robbery. Witnesses in the Robbery were able to positively identify the suspects as the Rosa’s Pizza Robbers.

The two suspects, 46-year-old Gregory A. Binkley and 37-year-old Richard L. Baird were arrested and each was charged with one count of 1st Degree Robbery.
