Spokane Police Officers Ron VanTassel and Paul Gorman stopped a vehicle for stolen plates which led to charges of 1st Degree Robbery, Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle and several misdemeanor charges.

On 09/11/2014, just before 10:30 p.m., Officers VanTassel and Gorman stopped a vehicle with stolen plates at Riverside and Washington. During the course of their investigation it was determined that the vehicle with the stolen plates attached was a stolen vehicle taken in a reported carjacking on 08/21/2014. Officers were also able to determine that 33-year-old Devere Delong and 28-year-old Falicia Humbird, both in the vehicle at the time it was stopped, were the suspects in the original carjacking.

While searching the vehicle, officers found a stolen bicycle as well as a backpack containing burglary tools. Humbird, who was driving at the time of the stop, was driving with a suspended license.

Humbird was booked into the Spokane County Jail for 1st Degree Robbery, Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, 3rd Degree Driving with License Suspended, and 3rd Degree Possession of Stolen Property because of the stolen bicycle.

Delong was booked for 1st Degree Robbery, Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, and Possession of Burglary Tools.
