Burglary/Stabbing Suspect Charged with Additional Burglary

Spokane Police, investigating a burglary and stabbing in the 2700 block of E. 32nd, determine Ben Glushchenko (23), was also responsible for an additional burglary in the same block. No one was injured in the first of the two burglaries.

Yesterday, just before 5 p.m., officers responded to a report of an unknown trouble at a residence in the 2700 block of E. 32nd. The victim reported that she heard glass breaking in her kitchen and saw Glushchenko attempting to gain entry through a broken window.

The victim yelled, then Glushchenko fled on foot. The second burglary where a man was stabbed by Glushchenko was reported less than 15 minutes later.

Glushchenko was booked for Residential Burglary along with the two charges from the stabbing incident. He will appear in court at 1:30 p.m. today.

Investigation into this incident is ongoing.
