Spokane Police Officers responded to a purse snatching in north Spokane last night. The suspects crashed the getaway car after fleeing the scene with the elderly victims purse. A K-9 track was attempted but the suspects have not yet been located.

Last night, January 8, 2015, just before 6:30 pm, officers responded to the report of a purse snatching robbery at the Rosauer's in the 9400 block of N. Division. The victim, in her mid-70's, was walking towards the store from the parking lot when the suspect ran up and grabbed her purse. There was a brief struggle over the purse, but the strap broke so the suspect was able to run away with it. The victim was not injured.

One witness to the robbery chased the suspect to a vehicle, but he threatened to shoot her so she stopped following. Another witness was able to follow the suspects in the getaway car, but they crashed it at Division/Holland. A Spokane County Sheriff's K-9 deputy assisted SPD in trying to track the suspects. Their car was located, however the suspects have not been located at this time.

The female suspect, who was driving the crashed car, is described as a white female, in her mid-20's, with dark brown hair, wearing a red shirt, and dark jacket. The males suspect is described as a white male, between 5'10" and 6'0", with a medium build, wearing a dark colored sweatshirt, and blue jeans. The vehicle was seized as evidence.
