Spokane Police arrest Chaps Restaurant Burglary suspect Christopher J. Cannata (42) for 2nd Degree Burglary.
The Spokane Police Patrol Anti-Crime Team (PACT) and the Targeted Crimes Unit (TCU) have arrested a suspect in the burglary of Chaps Restaurant on February 22, 2015.
Christopher J. Cannata (42) was arrested overnight at an apartment in the 700 block of S. Monroe. He was booked into the Spokane County Jail on one count of 2nd Degree Burglary.
In the course of their investigation, detectives reviewed surveillance footage, followed up with multiple people and eventually developed probable cause to arrest Cannata for the burglary.
Detectives believe Cannata obtained information that the victims would be out of town and burglarized their business.
Cannata is a 31-time convicted felon. His convictions include (but are not limited to) multiple convictions for Residential Burglary, Burglary, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Theft, and Possession of Stolen Property.
