For the first time since 2008, a Basic Law Enforcement Academy (BLEA) class will graduate from the Spokane Police Training Center. Media is invited to the event today, May 13th, 2015, from 1:00-3:00pm, in the Lair Theater at Spokane Community College.
After 720 hours of intensive training that started January 6th, 2015, 27 officer from agencies throughout eastern Washington will graduate from BLEA Class #713 today at 1:00pm. Four of those officers will be reporting to patrol for the Spokane Police Department. Several awards will also be given to some of the graduating officers. They include 10,000 Push Up Club, 150 Mile Running Club, and the Best Patrol Partner Award.
Media is encouraged to attend the graduation, however, it will not be open to the public as seating is limited.
