The Spokane Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating the deaths of two people on Spokane’s north side. The call originally came in as a welfare check request. During the welfare check, officers found two people deceased in a house in the 2800 block of West Upton.

Today, Dec. 15th, 2015, just before 4:00pm, the Spokane Police Division received a call requesting a welfare check at a house in the 2800 block of west Upton. The caller advised one of the residents had not shown up for work and that was very out of character for her.

Officers checked the house and found two people, one male and one female, deceased inside. The Major Crimes Unit was called in to assist in the investigation. Major Crimes Detectives found a gun inside the home and, preliminarily, it appears the two died of gunshot wounds.

The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the names of the deceased and the cause/manner of death.
