Suspect In Subway Robbery Arrested

The Spokane Police Division located a suspect in a the robbery of the Subway in the 6400 block of N. Nevada less an hour after the crime occurred. Christopher Sather (27) was taken into custody after a K9 tracked him to a house in the 1100 block of E. Francis. He was booked into Spokane County Jail for 1st Degree Robbery.

Just after 5:00pm tonight, Dec. 26th, 2015, Spokane Police Patrol Officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at the Subway in the 6400 block of N. Nevada. Witnesses reported the suspect ordered a sandwich and when he reached the register, implied he had a weapon and demanded all the cash in the till. The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the incident.

A K9 Officer was called in to assist in the search. The K9 tracked the suspect to a house in the 1100 block of E. Francis. Officers found Sather at the house and, during the course of their investigation, were able to determine he was the suspect in the robbery. He was taken into custody without incident and booked into Spokane County Jail for 1st Degree Robbery.
