Spokane Police Investigating Homicide on the South Hill

The Spokane Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating a homicide in the 1900 block of east Rockwood Blvd. Officers responded to an unknown trouble call at a home in that location. A female was found deceased at the scene.

Tonight, April 19, 2016, just before 8:00pm, Spokane Police Patrol Officers responded to the report of an unknown trouble in the 1900 block of east Rockwood Blvd. Responding officers discovered a deceased female at the residence. There were signs of a struggle inside the home. The Major Crimes Unit was then called in to assist in the investigation.

Detectives have detained an individual who was at the location and are currently processing the scene. There are no outstanding suspects. Detectives believe this was an isolated incident and there is no danger to the community at this time. The Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the victim and manner of death.
