Spokane Police Investigating a Stabbing in West Spokane

The victim in this incident has succumbed to his injuries. Spokane Police Major Crimes Detectives are investigating. The Spokane County Medical Examiner will release the name of the victim and the cause of death.

The Spokane Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred in the area of W Sunset Highway and N Lindeke St.

Today at 1:43 pm, officers responded to the 2700 block of W Sunset Highway for the report of a stabbing. Officers located a male with a stab wound. It is believed the victim knew the suspect.

Officers are searching the area and although the suspect is not in custody, there is no ongoing threat to the community. The victim was transported to the hospital with critical injuries. The suspect is described as a white male wearing a grey sweatshirt, blue jeans with a long dark goatee. He also may be wearing a baseball cap.
