Spokane Police Investigate Shooting

The Spokane Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened at 2700 E South Riverton on Sunday morning. The female received a life threatening wound after being shot once inside of a residence.

This morning, 10/23/16 just before 11am, the Spokane Police Department responded to a residence at 2700 E South Riverton for a shooting call. Officers responded within minutes of receiving the call and located a female in her early 40’s laying on the ground. She had one gunshot wound to her torso. The female was treated on scene and taken to the hospital by ambulance with a life threatening injury.

There was one male inside the residence. He has remained cooperative with the investigation. He was interviewed by Detectives and later released. The investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances of what happened. Nobody has been charged at this time.
