Wednesday, August 16,just after 3:30 PM, Spokane Police Officers responded to a parking lot at 7600 N. Division to a report of an automobile that struck two pedestrians. The pedestrians were initially trapped under the vehicle.
SPD and Spokane County Fire District 9 arrived within minutes and began performing their duties.
Both pedestrians were injured. The victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The adult victim is in very critical condition and the child has non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives from Major Crimes and Collision Investigators took over the investigation. The driver of the vehicle cooperated with investigators.
