The Spokane Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the suspects responsible for a burglary that occurred at the old McKinley High School on August 30 and August 31. If you have any information, please call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.

Between August 30 and August 31, a commercial burglary occurred at the Spokane Transfer and Storage Company (formerly the old McKinley High School) located at 117 N. Napa St. The suspect(s) appeared to have cut a hole in the chain link fence along the west side of the lot and enter through a basement level window of the vacant building. The item stolen was an American Indian statute described as approximately seven feet tall, 300 pounds and made of solid wood (photo posted on SPD's facebook page).

Due to the uniqueness of the statue, the Spokane Police Department is hoping someone in the community has information that would help solve this crime.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233.
