Spokane Police arrest fleeing hit and run suspect who crashed on N. Monroe St.

Today, October 5, just before 11:50AM Spokane Police Officers, headed to an unrelated call for service, observed a crash in the area of N. Maple St. and W. Mansfield Ave. where the suspect vehicle was driving recklessly and had struck another occupied vehicle. After the crash, the hit and run suspect vehicle continued to drive reckless as it fled the area, and the Officers pursued. The suspect vehicle crashed into three other vehicles when attempting to cross the intersection of W. Mansfield Ave., and N. Monroe St. The driver of the suspect vehicle, 38 year old Allan C. Green, was transported to the hospital for treatment after the crash. The occupants of the victim vehicles were also transported to a local hospital for treatment. Upon his release from the hospital, Green will be booked into the Spokane County Jail for Vehicular Assault, Eluding, and Hit and Run. Officers on scene suspected Green was under the influence of drugs.

Crash Investigators are on scene, and N. Monroe St. between W. Knox Ave. and W. Montgomery Ave., will be closed for several hours while they complete their investigation.
