The Spokane Police Department is asking the public to help identify a suspect in an assault and attempted bike theft.

Today at about 1:30pm, a male came into the Double Eagle Pawn on Francis and took a bicycle without paying. The employees gave chase and corralled the suspect. The suspect produced a knife and attacked the employees. One employee was struck with the knife and received non-life threatening injuries. The suspect then fled the scene and the bicycle was recovered. The suspect photo will be posted on the SPD Facebook.com page.
