A male in West Central is injured in drive-by shooting.

On June 15th, 2018, around 6:15 a.m., a male drove himself to an area hospital after being shot while in his vehicle. Officers responded to the hospital, contacted the victim and located his vehicle.

Officers responded to the area of Belt Street and Nora Avenue and found evidence that a shooting had taken place. Evidence was collected at the location.

A Major Crimes Detective took over the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing and no suspects have been identified or located at this time. The victim’s vehicle was seized pending a search warrant.

The victim’s relationship to the shooter is not known at this time which may mean there could be a threat to the community.
