Just after midnight, on the morning of June 15th, 2018, Spokane Police patrol officers were sent to 2500 E. Rowan to a report of a shooting with a victim. On an open 911 line prior to the shooting, people could be heard arguing.
Officers found a male victim, with a life threatening gunshot injury, outside the residence. The male was transported to an area hospital.
The shooter, Brittany D. (Rizzo) Korzonthowski, was detained at the scene.
Major Crimes Detectives took over the investigation and processed the crime scene with the help of the Spokane County Forensics Unit. Detectives sought and were granted search warrants during the investigation.
Probable cause was established to arrest Korzonthowski for Attempted Murder 1st Degree. She was arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail.
