SPD Investigating a fatality shooting in the 3000 blk of N. Nelson St.

Spokane Police are investigating a fatality shooting which occurred outside a residence in the 3000 block of N. Nelson St.

Today, July 8th, just before 2:30AM Spokane Police responded to the report of a shooting in the 3000 block of N. Nelson St. Officers arrived within minutes and rendered first aid to the victim, however he died as a result of his injuries. The Spokane Police Department Major Crimes Unit (MCU) is conducting the investigation. The area around the residence remains closed off for the investigation and evidence processing. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time.

Spokane Police ask any witnesses to the incident, who have not already been contacted, to call Crime Check at (509)456-2233.

The identity of the deceased and the cause of death will be released by the Spokane Medical Examiner’s Office once proper notifications have been made to the family of the deceased.
