Monroe Street and Sprague Avenue Hit and Run

Today, July 17, 2018, at approximately 12:00PM a female pedestrian was struck by a truck while she was crossing S Monroe St at W Sprague Ave. The truck was turning from Sprague onto Monroe when it struck the female. The truck initially stopped, but then sped off Southbound on Monroe, leaving the victim lying in the street.

Several citizens stopped to provide aid to the victim and to call 911. The victim was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital for her serious injuries.

The Spokane Police Collision Investigation Team was summoned to the scene and is investigating this incident. Investigators are gathering the extensive video and eye witness information that is available in this case.

The suspect vehicle is described as a mid-1990’s green Ford pickup truck with an extended cab. The driver is described as a 50 to 60 year old white male. Photos of the suspect vehicle and driver are shown below.
