SPD is investigating a stabbing in Southeast Spokane

An adult female was hospitalized after a stabbing in Thornton Murphy Park, located in the 3100 block of E 27th Ave. Initial information is that the attack may have been an attempted robbery. At this time the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

SPD received the call a little after 9:30PM, and quickly arrived on scene. SPD Officers provided first aid to the victim prior to care being transferred to SFD and AMR paramedics.

Officers have processed the scene, and talked to individuals in the area. At this time the suspect description is limited: An unknown race male approximately 6’ tall wearing a black sweatshirt and gloves, last seen running South from the park.
