The Spokane Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting at a residence in the 1700 block of north Stone. The suspect, Donavan L Gibson (35), is still on the loose and is believed to be armed and dangerous. He was last seen driving a teal or green 1995 Subaru Legacy station wagon, WA license #BIZ5826. Anyone with information on Gibson’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
Tonight, November 20, 2018, just before 10:00pm, Spokane Police Patrol officers responded to a 911 call in the 1700 block of north Stone. A female called, advised her ex-boyfriend was attempting to break into the home and had been known to armed in the past. Officers arrived on scene less than three minutes after they were dispatched. They heard a female screaming inside the residence, so they forced entry and found two victims inside. The male victim was declared deceased at the scene. The female was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The investigation led police to Gibson as the assailant. He is believed to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached under any circumstances. He was last known to be driving the listed vehicle. Pictures of Gibson are attached. There is also a picture of a vehicle similar to his, but it should be noted it is not his vehicle specifically. If you see Gibson, his vehicle, or know of his whereabouts, please call 911 immediately.
