Saturday, June 13 at about 2:40 AM Spokane Police Officers responded to a shooting with a victim on Division between 3rd and 4th Avenue.  An employee at a local restaurant near the scene reported hearing a gunshot.  He also stated there had been numerous people in the area where the shot was fired but they quickly scattered.

An SPD K9 handler was the first officer on scene, he located the victim and provided medical care to the male who had suffered a single gunshot wound to the upper abdomen.  The victim was stable and transported to a local hospital.

The crime scene was processed, located during the investigation were a single live round of ammunition, a baggie containing a white powder substance and a “military or multipurpose” type shovel.
