Spokane Police Anti-Crime Team (PACT) Sergeant arrests a multiple time convicted felon in possession of a stolen motorcycle, drugs, and a firearm.

While patrolling on June 20th, 2020 around 7:00PM the SPD PACT Sergeant observed a black Kawasaki Ninja that had been previously reported as stolen at a gas station near the 1900 block of E Mission.

The Sergeant pulled into the gas station and confirmed the license plate matched that of the stolen bike.

The Sergeant observed that the bike had a “punched ignition.”  The male on the bike, Ryan Patterson (39), stated the bike was not stolen.   He was informed that the bike was in fact stolen and that he was being audio and video recorded.

When asked if he had any weapons on him, Patterson stated “no” and then stepped off the bike and began to run away.  Patterson tossed a backpack he had been wearing as he ran.   Patterson was taken into custody after a foot pursuit. While he was being handcuffed Patterson stated there was a gun and drugs in the backpack.

Patterson was charged with Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle, Firearm unlawful possession - 1st degree and Possession of a controlled substance, (methamphetamine).
