Major Crimes Detectives are looking for assistance from the community in their shooting investigation that occurred on July 3, 2020.

On July 3, 2020, between the hours of 4p.m. and 4:30p.m., an elderly female, who uses a walker, was shot in the leg while crossing Wellesley Avenue between Division and Normandie Streets. The woman was crossing the roadway southbound when a blue colored vehicle, traveling west on Wellesley from Division, approached her.

The victim walks slower than the average pedestrian and that may have upset the people in the car. She was shot in the leg as the vehicle went by.
