Shooting in Spokane’s East Central neighborhood injures two
On 10-05-2020 around 5PM, SPD officers responded to the area of E 5th Ave and S Altamont St regarding a drive-by shooting incident. Multiple callers reported two vehicles were in the area and were possibly exchanging gunfire.
Two injured individuals were contacted by SPD officers at a local hospital. Neither appeared to have life threatening injuries.
Major Crimes Unit detectives responded to the scene, processed evidence, and spoke with involved parties. The Spokane Safe Streets Task Force, (Gang Unit) also responded and is assisting. The investigation is on-going and at the writing of this release there have not been any arrests.
