SPD responds to report of a drive-by shooting that left one victim with a non-life threatening bullet wound.

On November 15th, 2020 around 6:30pm SPD responded to the 2200 block of E. South Riverton for a report of a shooting.  When officers arrived on scene they found the victim bleeding from an injury just below his left shoulder that was consistent with a gunshot wound.  Officers provided immediate first aid until EMS arrived to take over medical care.

Upon searching the area, SPD observed a Dodge Charger in the parking lot with three bullet holes in the front windshield and one in the rear passenger window.  Multiple bullet casings were also found near the scene.

The victim stated that he was in the passenger seat of the Charger when he heard tires squealing, gunshots, and then tires squealing again.  He realized he had been shot, walked to the nearest apartment and banged on the door asking for help, at which time 911 was called.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect vehicle was described as a dark or tan colored lifted SUV.
