Convicted felon goes on tire slashing spree leaving victims with hundreds of dollars of damage to deal with

On April 6, 2021, around 5:30 p.m., the Spokane Police Department received a 911 call of a female armed with a knife and puncturing vehicle tires as she walked around 9th Avenue and Adams Street. One caller was sitting in his vehicle when a female approached his car and punctured the rear tire.

Officers responded and contacted the suspect after witnesses pointed her out. Officers detained 39-year-old Christine D. Flores.

Officers located eight vehicles in the area with puncture damage to one or more tires. Officers were able to locate three vehicle owners who all wished to pursue criminal charges. Officers aggregated the value of the damaged tires and arrested Flores for felony malicious mischief.

Flores was transported and booked into the Spokane County Jail for Malicious Mischief 2nd degree. Her first appearance in court was continued due to being “uncooperative.” She was released on April 8. #2021-20053816
