Two injured in North Spokane Shooting
On 05-10-2021 a little before 8PM, SPD responded to a shooting incident in the area of Wedgewood and Colton in North Spokane.
Officers arrived on scene and found one subject suffering from a gunshot wound. That person was transported to a local hospital and their condition is unknown. Later in the evening another subject arrived at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound, possibly incurred during this incident. Their condition is also unknown.
SPD has numerous officers and detectives currently on scene processing evidence and interviewing involved persons.
Preliminary information indicates multiple people discharged firearms during the incident, expelling in excess of two dozen rounds. At the writing of this release there have been no arrests. While the incident does not appear random, the motivation and surrounding circumstances are still under investigation.
Wedgewood East of Division, and Colton North of Wedgewood will be closed for several hours as the scene is processed. SPD will attempt to release more information regarding outstanding suspects as details become available and are verified.
