Reference the stabbing incident which took place in the area of 1600 E. Queen Avenue on July 4, 2021, Louis Vega (63) has been charged with 1st Degree Assault.

Neighbor dispute leads to stabbing in Northeast Spokane

On 07-04-21 shortly after 10PM SPD was advised of a stabbing incident in the 1600 block of E Queen Ave. An adult male was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

SPD is actively investigating the incident. Initial information is that the confrontation stemmed from an argument over the lighting of fireworks.

At this time SPD Major Crimes Unit detectives are investigating. All involved parties are currently accounted for and being interviewed by police. SPD asks anyone with information about this incident, who has not spoken with investigators, to please contact crime check at 509-456-2233 reference case 2021-20111341.
