Pedestrian Stuck By Vehicle and Dragged Two Blocks

Male sent to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle and dragged two city blocks

On December 4, 2021 at approximately 1400 hours, officers were dispatched to E. Ermina Ave/ N. Perry St. for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. 

Witnesses told 911 operators the suspect vehicle fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival. The suspect vehicle was described as a dark SUV.  The SUV was seen continuing southbound on N. Perry St.  

Preliminary investigation from the scene indicates the victim was struck by a vehicle and dragged under the vehicle for about two city blocks prior to becoming dislodged from the vehicle. The suspect vehicle fled the scene.

Medics arrived on scene and transported the pedestrian to the hospital with potentially life threatening injuries. 

SPD Major Crimes Detectives are currently processing the scene.

Investigation is ongoing.
