Stabbing in North Spokane sends two to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries
On 01/16/2022 just after 2130 hours Spokane Police responded to the area of N Monroe St. and W Frederick Ave for reports of a stabbing. Responding officers were able to locate two victims and provided medical aid until Spokane Fire personal arrived and took over care.
Information gleaned from victims and witnesses indicted the incident began when two females got into a verbal argument at a nearby gas station. As the argument escalated, both females’ boyfriends became involved.
The argument reached a point where the male suspect brandished a knife and swung it, stabbing the male victim in the upper body. In the process the suspect also stabbed the female victim, also in the upper body, before fleeing the scene.
The suspect was not found by responding officers and is still outstanding.
Both the male and female victims were taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. The investigation is on-going.
