SPD seeks assistance in identifying vehicles involved in shooting

Spokane Police are asking for help identifying two vehicles involved in Monday evening’s shooting in the 2000 block of E. Sprague Ave near the intersection of S. Crestline St. Video footage shows multiple gunshots were exchanged between occupants of an older silver minivan, possibly a Chrysler and a red/maroon 4 door sedan. One bullet hit a nearby grocery store. Fortunately, no customers in the store were injured. There are still no identified victims in this case. Shooting near E. Sprague Ave and S. Crestline St.

On January 31, 2022 at 5:30 pm officers were dispatched to 2020 E. Sprague Ave for a shooting. Dispatch received multiple calls about shots being fired around the location.

Several callers said the shooter already drove out of the area. Officers arrived on scene and determined there were no injuries.

Officers are actively investigating this incident and are following up on leads.

Initially E. Sprague Ave and S. Crestline St. was closed but now all roads are re-opened.
