SPD’s Major Crimes Unit (MCU) detectives arrested 32-year-old Stacy Gerber for murder 2nd degree stemming from the shooting death of Michael Materne. The homicide occurred on July 3rd near a residence in the 5300 block of N Belt St.
Early in the investigation detectives identified Gerber as a potential suspect and later developed probable cause for her arrest. With the facilitation of MCU investigators, Gerber turned herself into police and was taken into custody without incident. This remains an active investigation.
