East Spokane Motorcycle Wreck Kills One, Seriously Injures Another

At approximately 11:30pm on September 2, 2022, Spokane police officers responded to the 3800 block of E Sprague Ave after receiving multiple 911 calls of a single vehicle motorcycle wreck. 911 callers advised the male driver was no longer breathing and a female was seriously injured.

Upon arrival, officers found the male driver who was soon determined to be deceased. The female was quickly transported by AMR to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. The motorcycle itself had caught on fire, which was quickly put out by Spokane Fire Department personnel.

E Sprague Ave between N Freya St and N Myrtle St will be closed for several hours as the Spokane Police Department investigates this incident. Speed is being considered as a causal factor in the collision.

The names of the decedent will be released at a later time by the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office. If you witnessed the incident or have further information about it and have not already spoken to law enforcement, please call Crime Check 509-456-2233 and reference case #2022-20155542.
