Spokane Police investigating shooting in Downtown Spokane

On 9/6/2023 at approximately 8pm, Spokane Police responded to a shooting which had just occurred in the area of State St and Pacific Ave.

Upon their arrival, officers located an adult male who was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. They initiated life-saving aid to the male before EMS personnel arrived and took over. The male was emergently transported to an area hospital where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, an attentive officer located the male suspect in the area and he was taken into custody. His identity will be released at a later time.
