SPD seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a male who brazenly hit a business owner over the head with a flower pot
On Saturday, 2/24/24, police responded to a report of an assault at a nail salon in Downtown Spokane. Employees relayed to officers that a group of young males had been acting disorderly in front of the store with one throwing a drink on the floor. The males then left and returned a short time later and began harassing the store owner. One male claimed he dropped some cash on the floor and accused the owner of picking it up and demanded the owner give the cash back. The suspect then walked out of the business, which was full with customers, and kicked a flower pot over. As the owner approached the male, he picked the pot up and threw it directly at the owners head, striking him – see video
The suspect is described as a teenage male with curly blonde hair, wearing a black hoodie and red plaid pants and black Nike shoes with a white swoosh on the sides.
