SPD honors the life of WSP Trooper Christopher Gadd whose memorial service is taking place today in Western Washington. SPD is represented at the service by members of our Honor Guard and Motors Officers who are assisting at the memorial. The Basic Law Enforcement Academy (BLEA) class at the Spokane Police Academy held a moment of silence for Trooper Gadd during their flag ceremony today. Mayor Lisa Brown ordered flags at City facilities lowered today in remembrance of the fallen Trooper Flags Lowered for Fallen Trooper Christopher Gadd - City of Spokane, Washington (spokanecity.org), who died earlier this month in the line of duty. Join us in keeping family, friends, and colleagues of Gadd in your thoughts and prayers. The mourning band, seen on SPD’s badge, is worn from the date of death through the day of burial. #neverforget #sacrificialservice
