South Hill parking lot altercation leads to a male being shot, SPD seeking suspect

On 4-4-24 at 7:20pm, multiple Spokane Police Officers responded to the area of 800 E 29th Avenue regarding a shooting.  Upon arriving, officers discovered the involved parties had left the scene.  Witnesses advised two males became involved in an altercation in the parking with a gold sedan that was later described as a gold Lexus with a temporary plate.  The suspect vehicle drove recklessly through the parking before coming to a stop after an item was thrown at the vehicle.  The suspect driver exited the car and approached the victim.  The male produced a handgun and shot the victim before leaving in the same vehicle.   The victim was transported to a local hospital by an acquaintance and was later contacted by officers.  The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries from the gunshot wound.

The suspect is described as a male in his late teens to early 20’s, possibly Hispanic or black.  The suspect was briefly wearing a white sweater before taking it off.  If you have any information about this incident, please contact the SPD Tip Line at 509 242-TIPS (8477) or email SPDtipline@spokanepolice.org
