Male succumbs to injuries after northeast Spokane motorcycle crash

On May 21st 2024 at 1:50pm, Spokane Police responded to the area of Julia and Queen after 911 was advised of a single motorcycle crash.  A passer-by observed a motorcycle sliding across the roadway before seeing a subject down in the road.  The witness observed the male subject with what appeared to be severe trauma to his person.  When officers arrived on scene, Spokane Fire and AMR were already attending to the injured driver.  The injured male was quickly transported to a local hospital.  Despite life saving measures, the male succumbed to his injuries.

Initial information revealed the motorcycle was travelling north on Rebecca as the road begins an “S” shaped turn near Queen.  At some point, the driver lost control and it appears excess speed was a factor.  SPD Major Crimes (MCU) and Traffic Investigators responded to the scene to investigate.  As officers began processing the collision scene, they discovered the motorcycle driven by the male was reported stolen.

The name of the deceased will be released at a later time by the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
