Juvenile male arrested in shooting that seriously injured another juvenile last month

Detectives with the Regional Anti-Violence Enforcement & Narcotics (RAVEN) Task Force have arrested a 13 year old male related to a shooting in the 7200 block of N. Nevada St. on 4/24/24 at 8pm. SPD Officers responded to a home on the block and learned multiple juveniles were hanging out there when one shot another. The 16 year old victim was transferred to an area hospital with severe injuries. Detectives developed probable cause to charge the juvenile, who was 12 years old at the time of the shooting, with 3rd Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment and also 2nd Degree Unlawful Possession of a Firearm - because of his age. The juvenile male was booked into the Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center yesterday 5/28/24.

RAVEN is comprised of members of Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, Spokane Police Department, Spokane Valley Police Department, Washington State Department of Corrections, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Drug Enforcement Administration, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
