On June 28th, 2024 at 6:26am SPD responded to the area of 200 South Division Street in Downtown Spokane on a report of a stabbing.  911 was advised of an altercation between two males.  At some point during the fight, one of the involved partes was cut across the side of his face.  The reported suspect then fled the area.  Officers quickly responded and began searching for the suspect.  The suspect was found walking east of the location and was not cooperative on initial contact with officers.  The male was finally detained without incident.  The investigation revealed the suspect used a piece of broken glass to slash the victim before leaving the area.

Elisha Z. Geiger (24) was taken into custody and booked into the Spokane County Jail for 2nd Degree Assault and Obstruction.  The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  Geiger has extensive local history with prior arrests for assault.
