Update 9/9/2024: Arrest Made in Fatal Downtown Hit & Run Collision, Suspect Vehicle Located
On September 8th, 2024 Dom D. Felix (55) was taken into custody in regard to the fatal hit/run collision involving a pedestrian in Downtown Spokane on August 30th. The vehicle used in the crime has also been recovered. Felix was booked into the Spokane County Jail for Vehicle Hit and Run involving a Fatality and is currently an inmate. Felix has an extensive criminal history with prior felony convictions for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Update 9/5/2024: SPD Seeking Public Assistance in Locating Suspect Vehicle
The Spokane Police Department is seeking assistance from community members in locating a suspect vehicle that was involved in the fatal hit/run collision involving a pedestrian on August 30th in the area of 3rd and Wall.
The vehicle shown below is the suspect vehicle in this incident. It is a 2009 Toyota Venza UT, Washington license plate CFR9015. If you have information in regard to this vehicle, please call 911 or Crime Check at 509 456-2233. Due to safety concerns, please do not approach this vehicle if found.
Original Release 8/30/2024:
On August 30th, 2024 at 11am SPD responded to the area of 3rd and Wall in Downtown Spokane on a vehicle versus pedestrian collision. 911 was advised that the involved vehicle fled the scene. Medics responded to the location and began life saving measures for the injured pedestrian. Despite those attempts, the victim succumbed to their injuries.
Detectives with SPD’s Major Crimes Unit (MCU) have responded to the location to assist with the investigation. The area around 3rd and Wall will be closed temporarily to vehicle and pedestrian traffic to allow the scene to be processed.
The name of the deceased will be released at a later time by the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office. If you have information about this incident, please contact Crime Check at 509 456-2233.
