On August 29th, 2024 just before 2:30pm, 911 was advised of a vehicle collision at Sprague and Freya involving a motorcycle and a semi-truck. Officers arrived on scene quickly and closed down the intersection. The motorcyclist was given emergency medical aid at the scene, but succumbed to his injuries. The other involved driver has been contacted by law enforcement.
Investigators with SPD’s Major Crimes Unit (MCU) have responded to the location. The area around the intersection will be closed temporarily as investigators process the scene.
The name of the deceased will be released at a later time by the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
