On September 18th, 2024 at around 6:15pm SPD responded to the area of Division and Waverly Place on a report of a vehicle collision involving a motorcycle. Officers arrived to find a motorcycle down in the roadway with the driver also down on the ground nearby. The motorcycle was south on Division from Bridgeport when it collided with another vehicle. Medics quickly responded to treat the injured driver, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
It is believed speed was a factor in the collision. Investigators with the SPD Major Crimes Unit (MCU) are asking anyone with information in regard to this incident to please contact Crime Check at 509 456-2233.
