Spokane Police investigating overnight shooting

On January 25th, 2025 at approximately 2:40am, SPD responded to the area of 2800 East Heroy Avenue on a report of a shooting.  911 was advised that one person had been shot at the location.  Officers arrived within minutes to find a young teen with gunshot wounds.  The victim was quickly transported to a local hospital.  Despite efforts to save his life, the victim succumbed to his injuries.

Members of the SPD Major Crimes Unit (MCU) responded to the location and are actively investigating the incident.  At the time of this release, no arrests have been made.  The name of the deceased will be released at a later time by the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
