Suspect in Shooting that Took the Life of a 13-year-old Identified

Detectives with the SPD Major Crimes Unit (MCU) have identified the suspect in the shooting incident that took the life of 13-year-old Gavin Looper. The incident took place in the early morning hours of January 25th in the 2800 block of East Heroy Avenue. The suspect in the deadly shooting is Glen Dylan Burkey, 25. Burkey is 5'8" and weighs roughly 210 pounds with green eyes.

The shooting does not appear to be a random act. Probable cause has been established to arrest Burkey for 2nd Degree Murder, Drive By Shooting and 2nd Degree Assault.
