Robbery Suspect Taken into Custody Minutes After Committing the Crime

On August 22nd, 2025 at 1:54pm 911 was advised of a robbery that had just taken place at a business located in the area of 1000 W Summit Parkway. The caller advised a male was observed stealing items inside the location. When confronted, the suspect threatened the employee by stating he had a gun, but no gun was seen during the incident. The employee quickly contacted 911 after the suspect fled the location.

Officers quickly flooded the area to locate the suspect. With a description provided to 911 by the initial caller, officers located a possible suspect at Cedar and Broadway, 8 minutes after the initial call came into 911. The male was detained without issue. Officers contacted additional witnesses and at the completion of the investigation, took the male into custody. The items stolen from the business were recovered.

Jerry G. Allen Jr. (38) was arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail for 1st Degree Robbery and 3rd Degree Theft.
